Gabriella longed to hatch her dreams: she had so many of them, all centred on one major. She wanted to be everywhere at the same time. She dreamed of been the cover girl of the best glamor and fashion magazines in the world. She hoped to
feauture in major celebrities’ videos and do commercials for delta soap…or Pears. She wanted to grace the runways and redcarpets like Agbani and Tyra: I can remember her saying she can do better. She said she would do better than June, a one time Miss Anambra Universe and Queen Colette, miss Tourism. She said hers were the queen’s package and I was never sure what to say. Do i encourage her or talk her out of these beautiful, illusive dream? The University is one crazy market place where mad men and women cannot be restricted, for the market place is an abode of lunacy.
Gabriella is beautiful: i love beautiful things. Gabriella’s hairs run all the way to the middle of her back -her real hair and not the brazillian or peruvian. Gabriella is a princess and Gabriella could have been my queen, but Gabriella would not be dissuaded. Her bowlegs would not deter her. It was on this note that we accidentlly met Miss Amah, a failed model and a single mother of two. She shared this story and Gabriella looked like she might have learned a lesson or more. “looked like…”
THERE ARE DRAMAS BACKSTAGE BEFORE THE MAIN DRAMA AND SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY FORGET WHERE THE RUNWAY ENDS AND WALK TO HELL…stay tuned…
